![]() ********** * mean its within the insurances best interest not to cover your claims but this entire process has been made extremally difficult for the soul purpose of not covering claims and hoping that you get tired of getting what you paying for. Your never talking to anyone that can do anything. Forget about sending emails or messages on there website. No one there cares and its always Ill get back to you. So ive spent hours on the phone to get the coverage im paying for. No one called me back and im not getting anywhere. Anthem rep said they didnt know what was going on and they would have to look into it. The billing rep from Drs office said Anthem had denied 127 covered claims last month including mine. Anthem rep said they didnt know why it was denied. I spoke with a Rep from Anthem and we called the drs office together. Made no difference.Īll but 1 of my claims from January have been denied. The other we have tried at least 5 times incuding calling with expidited flag on prior auth. Since switching to Anthem in January I have had 2 major medications denied coverage. You go to a physician for their expertise, only to have their judgement watered down by a greedy insurance company. I wish I knew ahead of time, but they made dramatic changes in coverage without communicating the changes in advance. I think they hope that you'll just give up and use whatever generic, ineffective treatment they suggest. Even when you provide the prior authorization, they find something wrong with the wording. Anthem bogs you down with prior Auth requests for medications and equipment that you have used for years. I can't wait to get back to an employer based policy. I chose Anthem from Marketplace plans while between employment. ![]() When you've had a chronic medical illness for 30 years that you were able to manage well until Anthem was in the picture, it's disheartening. They haven't always been this bad, but if I could provide a rating of less than one star, I would. ![]() Anthem is the worst health insurance company that I have experienced. We are in a time when the insurance companies make decisions counter to the educated and experienced physicians.
